this is the first quest:

I found the room where the monster is, I tried to catch him and it didn't work, I ended up killing it and going back in, when I did every time I attacked I tried to catch him and eventually he died. Are there any special requirements?

What drops these items? I've killed everything that I could kill in leben mine.....

EDIT: Normally, to catch a monster, his hp have to be < 50%.

the first one, It was definitely below 50% health :C
the second quest no, you're thinking of another quest

The item is the name of the monster of the second map, the ones that is before the ss'ed, and something more, try killing they.

actually u do go to that map. hunt the monsters there til u get all of ther hearts.
