It's not that fast as you see, just that the damage overlapping that illusions the speed.

You could see that the previous damage just fades away when the new damage comes. It's still quite slow with a normal weapon.

actually, someone in insoya.com commented that the dalay time for dark impale was around 800ms, while the delay time for buster was around 1000ms
