A fifth, sixth, seventh, etc. would be even more marvelous.

Okay, so I'm coming back to kMS. I'm somewhat dreading the push for Pots and Meso, but I'll more than likely be purchasing quite a bit of NX from time to time, so that should help balance things out for me. My question is this (and you supplying reasoning would be beneficial!):

I have four classes in mind that I would want to be, and they are ..

1. Battle Mage: In gMS, I leveled incredibly fast with this little thing. I ended up stopped at 9x because of school, but I didn't have any funding on it besides the zHelm (which I could purchase on kMS with NX, I would assume) and money for Pots.

2. Wild Hunter: I refuse to play the Mechanic, basically, and the playing style of this class has always intrigued me. It seems to be just as fast-paced as the Battle Mage, a lot of mobbing utility, and great boss potential.

3. A Cygnus Knight (more than likely either Soul Master or Flame Wizard): The only real reason I'm considering this is to get to 120, hopefully, for the giant bonus that comes along with the character and making the Ultimate Adventurer.

4. Aran/Evan: I contemplated the Evan class after they were redesigned, making them so much incredibly faster (which I hated in gMS), and then I remembered about the Aran class as well. Both seem like decent alternatives of speed, training, etc.

Anyway, the reason I'm asking YOU is because you know kMS better than I do. What's available? What's cheaper? What would benefit a guild or party more later on? Would would provide the faster training speed?

If you're able to answer all of this for me, I would honestly be so greatful.

Edit: I just noticed that there's an event going on for Magicians. I suppose, that because of this, I wouldn't mind making a Fire/Poison or Ice/Lightning under the same criteria, if that'd be worth it.
Edit 2: I also, after reading more into Spadow's Blog, saw that even Priests were heavily revamped. With the new casting speed of Shining Ray, does this make them a faster, more viable training option? I know they're ever wanted for Bossing, and I adore support classes, but the grind getting to that point of usefulness has always hindered me from going.

i don't recommend wild hunter. i got to 130 and i thought "wow, getting 4th should pay for all that crap i went through, seeing how i got a shitty 240minutes/100%"

..nope. all you do is spam ONE FUCKING SKILL. i mean it's strong but it doesn't mob, doesn't have a very flashy animation, and it just gets kind of boring.. not to mention 1st, 2nd, and 3rd job being even worse.

another thing, sharp eyes. the 20 book is like 60mil and the 30 book is very expensive too, although i'm not sure how much exactly.

priests are better, stronger, and can use self-HS now. (get the whole 150% bonus)

out of the things you mentioned, i personally recommend battle mage and aran. arans are kind of cheaper unless you want to be a casper.

i would say

Arans-Very OP even without good equips....
Bishops-heavy new update for them, solo training has gotten easier
IL/FP Mage- ^ and they've gotten some sweet new skills (join the f/p bandwagon)

definitely not:

Wild Hunters...it's your choice, but like nom said, they're not exactly that worth it, maybe it's just us...but WH do go through a lot of crap in 3rd job...i've only gotten one to 3rd job, not 4th job unlike nom.......but the reward of 4th job isn't exactly too great. it's pretty good for a couple of weeks...then wild vulcan gets boring...etc...

but then again, it's your choice

Thank you for the constructive help from the two people so far. I hope I didn't post this in the wrong section, because this (I know it has the same outline as a gMS post would, but ..) is supposed to be pertaining to me coming back to kMS. Anyway ..

I'm more heavily leaning towards the general suggested classes of Aran, Bishop and either I/L or F/P Mage. The criteria for the first two stays the same, but the I/L was the first character I had ever gotten to 100 way back before Ludibrium came out on gMS, so that might find a certain home with me. The F/P, though, was always an interesting but incredibly difficult class that I never managed getting around to mastering. They seem to have made a strong comeback from that, though ..

I would say Pots and Mesos comes easy without fretting for your HP.

In another words, jobs that can regen HP and MP are basically your pot savers.

They are: (chosen from your list)
Cleric - quite easy to solo now
Wild Hunter - totally awesome but need funds
Aran - cheap and steady damage
Battle Mage - totally awesome

The Mages revamp are smexy, but bear in mind that neither IL nor FP have any HP regen skills. They are constantly using HP and MP pots.

I noticed that the Magician revamp promised an easier start for the Cleric, but in comparison to the Battle Mage and Aran (taking out Wild Hunter for now because it doesn't seem like it would be beneficial for the amount of funds), how fast would the leveling be? And pricing comparisons, which would be cheaper for the amount of efficiency.

I made a Cleric myself after this revamp, i'm currently lvl 104 and i can tell you that i'm leveling at the same speed as i was leveling my striker, and this is a really fun job(Shining Ray is pretty awsome now). And you definetly won't have any problem finding any party at Monster Park(which for me, gives me about the same experience as normal grindind, only less boring)

So if you're worried about leveling speed, at least before 4th job it's pretty fast.

PS: After lvl 110, i'll be leveling at Master Death Teddys, and they drop angelic bless recipe, which you can sell for a pretty high price(About 30~35m)

To ruin WHs again, I have to say I grinded alot to get it 70 and now it has been 70 for about... 3 months? Its just not fun.

I would also consider Drks. They have quite decent damage and they are kinda fun to play. At the moment im leveling my i/l (lvl 8x) and i have to say they are awsome. In my opinion ice strike is one of the greatest skills in maple which can make traning in pirates (100-120) breeze. Also chain lightning is awesome so i would recommend Drk and I/L mage.
PS i just dont like F/Ps

I think, at least for now, I'm going to go Adventurer -> Mage. If I was going to pick a class, I suppose at 30 I'll be deciding if I want to be beneficial or a grinder. Hehe. Thanks for everyone's help so far!

Feel free to leave your opinion of the three Magician paths after this update; I want to know what you guys think.
