Hey guys. I'm having a bit of a dilemma choosing what class to continue with. Right now I have a level 80 Sader, a level 92 Outlaw, and a level 52 Page. I'm not going to switch between classes anymore since it's just a waste of time and I'm dying to grind to 4th job.
Can anyone who has experience playing a Hero, Corsair, or Paladin tell me what they like and dislike about the class? Doesn't have to be in depth, only a quick summary. I'm not asking for people to choose for me since I'll end up playing the class I have the most fun with anyway. The whole reason I'm asking is because I am no longer having fun playing my Outlaw.
It would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

paladin: boring buff tank.
hero: boring bossing machine, assuming you're well equpped.
corsair: stationairy bosser with decent mobbing skills.

Sounds... boring. Hah. Maybe I should consider other classes? I think what I really need is patience.
Anyone else have any input?

captains are a lot of fun, really strong, but mobility while on battleship is very limited

Thanks for the input. I guess I'm just mainly concerned that if I'm bored with an Outlaw, and it's already as mobile as the class gets, that I won't be satisfied with having the jump in and out of the ship.

I forgot to mention that I play GMS. I would love to play KMS, but I'm not comfortable using a you-know-what illegally.
And, just out of curiosity, why is a Hero better than a Pally in bossing? Regardless of actual DPM, wouldn't a Pally tank a LOT better?

not talkin 'bout whats easier.
1. pallys could be better at zakking, only if u got UA skill...and u are low lvl low range
well actually they're about equal~hero slghtly better.
of coursepaladins may have easier control due to high def and blocking shit
although some say pally's got threaten, 30% def ignore,, hero's got 40% ignore def in a 4th job skill !.
although blast + holy charge+lightning charge+? >= ADV combo+intrepid clash + enrage,
it cannot win when hero's use um what is it called. well there is something ^^
also kms is not illegal what the hell u talkin about

Not allowed to go into much detail per forum rules, but for me to play from the US I would need to essentially pose as someone else a.k.a. identity theft. It's unlikely it will really matter, but still.
Back on topic, I guess I'll go crunch some numbers on that just to see for myself. I personally have always liked Heros, just because, but not for any other reason. I guess I'm trying to convince myself I'll like it better than a Pally.
As for a Corsair, I don't think I'll be continuing my Outlaw. I got him to 9X in like no time, but I'm realizing I don't like the play style and low HP. Maybe one day...
Is there anyone here who doesn't think Heros are "boring"? Because that's my primary concern. I love ACA and Intrepid (Brave) Slash, but let's be honest, that's really all I'll be doing 4th job.

most 4th jobs have 1~2 skill mains, and other skills that buff em up.
as for heros. u have adv combo then intrepid clash. u also have some mastery, and then enrage, and um the 3rd job skill that u can use in bosses... its all about liking 1~2 skills

The differences lie primarily in bossing. All 3 are great at training at LHC (gMS only, considering that kMS removed the party function from LHC), assuming equal funding.
That said, Corsairs cost the least out of the three, since a big chunk of their damage comes from skill multipliers and their skillbooks are dirt cheap. They also don't need any level 10 skillbooks except MW10, which you get for free when you advance.
Bossing:
Corsairs are beast at bossing. On a 1v1 non-elemental setting Corsairs will probably beat any other class in DPS.
Heroes are also great bossers, though (correct me if I'm wrong) they do best when there are multiple targets; ie, Zak/cZak arms.
Pallies obviously do best against elementally weak bosses (certain zarms, Anego, Scar/targ, etc).
Also note that dispel ruins Hero DPS completely, while it will barely affect a Corsair. Not 100% sure on Pallies, it depends on how CO-dependent their build is. Corsairs only have two buffs that can be dispelled - Booster and Maple Warrior.
Playstyle:
All 3 are pretty heavy on the "hold a key down and not do anything else at bosses". Besides buffing, there's not much to do, but this applies to any class, so I'll talk about training.
Corsairs need to be able to use 7+ skills effectively; Bullseye, Battle Ship, Cannon, Torpedo, Wings, Recoil Shot and Dash, if you don't have Haste in your party. This is because no smart Corsair will walk around on their Ship when moving mob to mob, it takes too long. Jumping on and off your ship is one of the most important parts of being a Sair. Bullseye is a direct +20% damage so it's important to always use it (even when using Torpedo, it affects the one monster that's BE'd), and you can't use it on your boat. Wings, Recoil and Dash are for moving around, obviously. Pre chaos you also have to watch out for getting hit thanks to durability on the ship, but after around level 125 or so it's really not significant at all, you have so much durability on the boat..
Heroes and Pallies IMO are simply buff -> rush -> attack until dead. There's not much you need to really do there to make it go faster.
And finally, getting to 120:
Outlaws are completely worthless. They have a poor 1v1 skill and poor mobbing skills. Unless you have significant amounts of funding 3rd job Outlaw is just unbelievably slow past around 90-110. If you can get leech at LHC from there, it should be okay.
I can't comment on Sader, but my WK was pretty easy to train to 100 (I deleted it for more room afterwards) thanks to free elemental damage.

Well I appreciate the input. Pretty sure I'm going to pick up my Sader. Wish me luck to 120.
