Louise is right. Mercedes meets Freed and his huge dragon, Afrien, in the tutorial which takes place in the past. Now, in the present, Mercedes has awoken from the curse and she will go after the Black Magician. Evan is the dragon master of the present and Evan sports a different hair color.
