From what I can tell, Orange is total post, while green is.... no idea. Doesn't look like time on the forum. Possibly post per day.

haha I was wondering when someone might bring this up. orange indicates your experience level on the forum (based on your number of thread views, posts, replies, PMs, etc). green indicates your activity level on the forum (based on how often you view the forum and make posts).

yeah you can level up :P click on your username to view your details. and nah, PM spamming won't work. it's based on a percentage of all your forum activity.
