Does 소울마스터 mean soul master, master of souls, etc. ... or is it just phonetics spelling "so ol ma s ter" or something like that.
Does w/e rule that applies there apply to all Maple Classes?
If i'm not wrong, 소울마스터=soul maseuteo :O So I guess it's soul master! :p

the same reason they changed "helena" to "athena pierce". nexon america loves changing the names of things for no reason.

I have a question about how that's translated, don't think it's worth a new thread.
I looked at each syllable and used this alphabet (http://www.omniglot.com/writing/korean.htm) and the keyboard pic from the sticky here to try and type it out. Following Jess's translation, it looked a bit weird. Tried to imitate the words, and translated each sound I used:
수올 마스터. (Teh korean)
tndhf aktmxj (keys I pressed, order I pressed)
Sound each 'letter' makes..?
ㅅ s
ㅜ u
ㅇ -ng
ㅗ o
ㄹ l
@
ㅁ m
ㅏ a
ㅅ s
ㅡ eu
ㅌ t
ㅓ eo
sungol maseuteo? o.0
Is there one of those annoying little rules in Korean that I'm missing? (i before e except after c, for an English example)

수올 마스터
수 = su
올 = or (ㅇ is silent when it comes before a vowel)
마 = ma
스 = seu
터 = tuh
suor maseutuh is the phonetical translation. soul master is the english translation.
wait is it 소울 or 수올? because at first, hazzy said 소울 but now you say 수올 :O! and wouldnt the ㄹ be l? its r? :O and isnt 터 teo? ㅌ = t and ㅓ = eo no?

I believe Asian languages use a mixed sound of r and l, so it's translated as r or l.

it's 소울. I was just using the letters from the breakdown hazzy used, which included ㅜ instead of ㅗ. didn't look for the actual spelling until now.
소 = so
울 = ur
R and L have the same sound in korean. I've always known ㅓ as an "uh" sound.
Ohh ok thanks, so eo sounds as uh :O! Thanks tj for all the help! :P

소울 is pronounced soul
마스터 is pronounced master
A lot of Korean words come from English words.
