No. It gives you the pet snail.

Just talk to her again. When you accepted the quest you should of had some orange orb in your inventory. When you talk to her she'll give you the snail, and you'll lose that orb thing. She's in that portal at the bottom right of Ellinia.

Oh OK thanks! I accepted it from the lightbulb, so I didn't know where to go.

You first go to Ellinia. And then the portal should be at the bottom right of the map. Very bottom right. Near a blue flower. Then go in the portal and talk to the NPC there. That should start the quest. Talk to her again to finish, I think. I started from the lightbulb too.

Does the pet snail expire? Cause I see a "5" on my snail and i'm not sure if it means 5 days. =/

Your pet snail expires in 5 hours. Once it died, it can't be revived anymore and you can't obtain another one.
