READ THIS FIRST: THIS THREAD IS NOT FOR HELP FINDING A PROXY OR INFORMATION ON ANY PROXY SITES. IT IS FOR THE CONNECTION METHOD -- THAT'S IT. ANYONE POSTING ASKING FOR A PROXY OR INFORMATION ABOUT A PROXY WILL RECEIVE A TWO DAY SUSPENSION.
I'm going to give you a basic run down on how to play without using a proxy after you've loaded the log in screen. If you don't understand this don't PM me because I'm not going to repeat myself over and over again nor am I going to offer much more help after this has been posted. So read carefully and follow the steps correctly and it will work for you. If it doesn't, let me put it in the nicest way possible - you're a tard and it's something YOU'RE doing wrong.
I've done this guide in the most simple terms and explanations I could think of, it should be very easy to understand and follow.
THIS IS NOT REQUIRED BUT RECOMMENDED: IF YOU HAVE VPN INSTALLED YOU MAY WANT TO UNINSTALL IT. SOME PEOPLE WERE HAVING PROBLEMS GETTING THIS METHOD TO WORK UNTIL THEY COMPLETELY REMOVED VPN FROM THEIR COMPUTER.
1. You need Proxifier (http://www.proxifier.com/download.htm), Easy2Game will NOT work using this method.
Use the registration code below so that you'll have the full version and not have to worry about the trial expiring:

2. After installing Proxifier you need to find a proxy (China's Hong Kong, Argentina, Israel, and Japan are all verifed as non-IP banned areas).
You can find them here:
1. http://www.8558.org/proxy (this is probably the best choice out of the three)
2. http://www.ipfree.cn/en
3. http://www.xroxy.com/proxylist (select SOCKS 5 from the drop down list, these proxies do not need a username or password)
3. Once you've found a proxy open up Proxifier and click hammer that's ontop of the white box right underneith File. It will bring up a box like this:

4. Click on Add, after the box pops up check SOCKS5 and Use authentication.

5. Enter your proxy address and port then skip down to settings and enter the Username and Password. It's usually immiediately to the right of the port on the proxy sites.
6. Click Check. If you get a message like this then the proxy is good to go (the speed doesn't matter so much as long as it doesn't take you ages to load the game):

7. Press OK to close out the check screen, then OK once again on the Proxy Server window. Make sure your proxy is check marked like below:

8. Click OK again to close out the box.
9. Open up Japan Maple Story like you would any other version, wait for it to load the log in screen and then tab out.
10. DO NOT LOG IN YET. Bring Proxifier back up, click on the hammer once again, and UNCHECK the proxy. Press OK. Minimize Proxifier but don't close it out.
11. Log in like you normally would, select your character and play without the lag or use of any proxy.
You can switch channels, go into Cash Shop, MTS, and do anything your normally would. You are now using your own direct connection to the internet. The only thing you cannot do is log out. Well you can, but if you do it'll just close Maple Story and you'll get the IP banned message. If you want to switch characters without having to reopen the game client do this:
1. Tab out and bring Proxifier back up.
2. Click the hammer, check the box beside your proxy and press OK.
3. Tab back into the game and go into either the Cash Shop or MTS for a few seconds the come out.
4. Log out.
Once you're back at the log in screen you can uncheck the proxy again and log in and play as normal.
The most common error and how to fix it:
Problem: After you've loaded the game and uncheck the proxy MS closes out.
Solution: It's the actual proxy causing this, though it is unchecked it's still in use until you actually log into the game itself.
The same solution also works if MS closes after you've entered your ID and pressed OK (assuming you've unchecked the proxy).
It shouldn't take you more than five minutes to connect and play if you've done everything correctly.
One final note: Once you've used Proxifier do not attempt to use any other proxy program (such as Easy2Game). It will mess Proxifier's configurations up. How to tell if you've messed the config up? You'll see a message like this, or smiliar;
Windows Network is not properly configured to work with Proxifier. Please run NetCof to configure.
The easiest way to correct this is to uninstall any other proxy programs you may have and then re-open Proxifier. That should solve the problem. If not, uninstall and reinstall Proxifier (after you've gotten rid of the other proxy programs).
The only proxy program that I am aware of at the moment that doesn't mess things up is VPN, so it is okay to use that one day and then Proxifier the next if you wish.
