First, there's two ways to play on kMS!
The first one is direct from the Client and the second one is via Website.
To learn how to Play using the Client, see Part 1.1.
But if you want to learn how to Play using the Website, see Part 1.2 and 1.3.


Part 1.1: Client

First you have to Install kMS on your computer.I'll skip this part.

Oh,and you don't need MyKeyDefense for this part.

1.Go to your kMS folder. Usually its: C:\Program Files\Wizet\Maple

2.Open GameLauncher.exe.

3.A MessageBox should Pop up.
Click the First button to go to Part 1.2 (Playing by the Website) or the Second button if you want to proceed and Play using the Client.

4.Login with your Email and password (The same information used for Website) and go to Step 2.

Part 1.2: MyKeyDefense


1.To download MyKeyDefense you need to go to the MapleStory - MyKeyDefense download page (http://maplestory.nexon.com/MapleStory/Page/Gnx.aspx?URL=Common/KeyDefenseInstall).

2.Now wait till a window appears and wait untill its done.

3.Ahnlab MKD should be installed (Check C:/Program Files/Ahnlab/ASP/ if it worked).



Part 1.3: Website

1. Open Microsoft Internet Explorer and go to http://maplestory.nexon.com, then go to the main page.

2.Wait untill the website fully loads and type your email and password:

NOTE:Make sure MyKeyDefense is active:

3.Now, that you have logged in,click the Red Area as in the picture, the Start Button:

NOTE:Again,make sure page has been FULLY loaded and MyKeyDefense is there.

4.You should be redirected to a page saying Play Game!

Part 2: InGame

1.Select your server,in this Tutorial,we're using Culverin,since its the server with most English Players:

2.Now click on Create Character button and this should appear:

Make a PIN Code for your character,please remember to save it D:

3.Here's the Character Creation part,enter the name you wish and press the Left button:

4.Now you should be on this screen:

Make your character D:

5.Okay,Time to log in...Double click your character and this should appear again:

Now,enter the Pin code you made on Step 2 and log in :D

6.You are now InGame.Congratz!
Your Ability Screen should look like this:

So,you ask: What if i'm going to be a Magician?
Answer: Your APs WILL be reseted and set to the amount you need to get your Adv.

very nice! I only have one correction though, the soft keyboard is actually only used to create a pin for your character and to enter the pin when you login. you'll only be asked to enter your KSSN through an actual text box.

if you dont want to log in from the site you can open "gamelauncher.exe" from your maplestory folder and then click the right button. you'll just log in the same way as jms or gms

I think I goofed somewhere. When I click on the Circle thing on the site, it takes me to the "Play Game" page, but then re-directs me to the Home page after a second or so. There's a little loading bar with the Nexon logo as I head to the "Play Game" page, as well as when it redirects. o.0
Can you help at all? Dx

Tried GameLauncher.exe and it got me in, but when I click to create a character, I get this.

The Soft Keyboard is the 2nd Password System, you can put in what you want.
Digits or letters it's your choice. After you made up your 2nd password click the big left button (확인).

well the password itself is my problem.
When i try creating a character (pressing the big button) it brings up the soft keyboard automatically. When it pops up i type in something i want as a password and click the bottom left button thats actually on the soft keyboard (has two or so korean symbols on it). Then some message pops up and i believe its some kind of error message. Tell me how to make the password please like pictures or something would be appreciated (circle buttons i have to press if u can T^T)

Hi Guys!

Just started on creating a training and have trained it till level 10 on maple island. However, here comes the problem.

When I reached level 8, there's a light bulb that appears on the top of my char. I do know it's regarding the job advancement. However, There's a wall of korean text which I totally don't understand. Furthermore there're so many options to choose from as well! Anyone can enlighten me on that?

I'm having a problem, I created my account and everything.
Now it's not necessary to put an e-mail anymore right?
Well then when I try to log-in with the username I chose I get a little MessageBox.
It says: "Necessary Object" and then it sets the focus to the username/e-maail text box.

Well, I am new to this. I just registered for kMS, downloaded the client on both of my computers. One of my computers is a MacBook, and the other is a self-built computer running Windows 64-bit Vista; I installed on my MacBook. I installed MyKeyDefense and it is working perfectly, but the thing is. Once I go to the game start (you know, you click the huge button etc) and I go to create a character, my keyboard does not work anymore. Even after exiting the game, it does not work in my Boot Camp for Windows. Even after re-installing it does not work. So, I have to go about re-installing my keyboard drivers to make it work again.

Also, on my self-built computer cannot install the MyKeyDefense; it gives me the error of not being able to install it on a 64-bit computer.

How would I go about playing kMS? ;-;

Use a download accelerator like FlashGet for the setup. We had and still have players playing KMS from Israel. When you 're at the MyKeyDefense page, click the big orange button and wait a couple seconds.

That didn't work either,I tried a few minutes,the KMS downloader itself won't begin(it says left:??:??:??) and MKD won't show up EVEN with flashget,is the orange button on the page is up there?
Am I doing something wrong?
