My old laptop's charger would randomly stop working. Turns out that a wire in the charger was all messed up. We bought a universal charger at an Office Depot (had like 12 different laptop head adapter things).

Bought the same for my GF. Cost me 35 quid though.... I suppose its worth it in the long rung though.

Power adaptors are such a rip off well atleast here in nz, it costs a 100 bucks for a branded one.
