Well being as I am truly happy right now I wanted to create a thread on hobbies. I just got back from a snowboarding trip that lasted five days and it was absolutely amazing. That is my ultimate hobby, and I wish I could do it a lot more than I can. (I live in southern California . However it is still awesome here in the summer.)
Back to the trip... It was 5 days, and we rented an AMAZING condo. The condo was nearly the size of our house, but I think it was classified as a condo becuase it shared the same building as other condos. They labeled it as "ski in, ski out" which it was far from. (We had to walk something lke 65 yards to and from the slope. Uphill both ways )
The first day was awesome. I hadn't been for about a year, and was totally ready to get on the mountain. I was rusty for a second, but I got the hang of it very fast again, and within an hour I was back to normal, and hitting the black diamond runs. Still suck at the large moguls though.
I did great for days to come, and I rarely fell (Thank God ). Then would come back to the condo and sit in the jaccuzi and unwind.
Through the week the snow got worse which nearly brought me to tears. The last day the whole mountain was pretty much pure ice.
We are looking like we are going to do something very similiar next year which would be great.
This is where we went if you were wondering:
