K i went on the nexon website, and they said they're starting something where u have to log on the website then it directs you to the game sort of like ijji and how they work. BUT from what ive heard i think it was from Orange and my other friends, they said if u log on to the website, since nexon's security is clearly breached wouldnt that make the hackers eligable to everyones accounts?

Nexon's website is probably safe. But someone did get access to their database and get a few hundred accounts worth of info.
And as far as it looks, it will be like kMS. But if they include something like AhnLab security during entry of the info, it's much safer than using the client to log in. From what I can tell, AhnLab prevents ANYTHING from detecting the keystrokes in the background. But that's just my guess.

Probably not. Im not sure if you can log in a banned account at the website because I've never been banned but im pretty sure it will operate like reg MS or something and you'll still be unable to log in. But if not theres gonna be a massive wave of hackers. PLus this ay we dont have to patch stuff

If your referring to nexon loading maplestory client form their website it's 100% correct, check their notice page on the website and you will see their not kidding.

Starting the game from the website wasn't implanted during this Patch so you still have to start your game from the Folder.

It's unlikely GMS's actual website was hacked, some people made similar looking sites that require all of your information to say "log in." Which is easy to tell it wasn't the real website.

Not to offend or anything, but I feel that it's totally bogus that any information was "breeched". Your friends were probably just being stupid with their account information, or unsafe with their internet usage and as a result have gotten hacked.

No this happened to a few hundred players, many of whom you would consider secure with their information.
This is a security leak on Nexon's part. Someone found a hole in their system and took advantage of it.
