Random "new members" sending me PMs

Has anyone else been getting sent "Hi I'm new here, blah blah blah (insert philisophical crap here)" in their PMs? I am and its pissing me off because it's wasting my time! (The miniscule amounts it's using anyway) what is the source of these people!? Why are they sending me messages?! Here is another exclamation mark!!!

any time you get a PM like this, REPORT IT. don't make a thread whining about something that is so easily resolved by a simple report.
