It baffles me that 4chan has so much child pornography on their site, and that it doesn't get shut down or something. I have only seen a few cases of people below age 14, but a lot of people around 14-17.
Discuss.

Well you have to imagine the sheer amount of retards in the world, and then look at how easy the site is to maneuver. You can't stop everyone THAT easily.
I'm glad I only go to the tech section <_<
I am sort of suprised this site doesn't have authoritys watching it, or that they don't make 4chan report the IPs that are posting this material.

It is still illegal to post yourself nude. There are a lot of cases about it right now.

personally, if you're gonna do that (for god knows what reason), i think you should be allowed to. it's your body. but, yeah. i stay away from that site. it's full of idiots.

how do you know they're getting away with it? for all you know, each post containing child pornography is a different person, and the mods get rid of each one as they come along.

Browse the place and you will see all the topics have a description "My last topic got 404'd so lets make another teen thread." With worse grammar though. Something alongthose lines. Also the topics don't get 404'd for awhile. Takes a good amount of time before the mods react.

by that logic, everyone on /b/ who makes an "over 9000" reference could very well be the same person.

Plus it is super easy to get unbanned from 4chan if they do ban you.

True, but it isn't like it something "cool" to take credit for. Depending on the context you can tell whether or not they are the same people. People would pretend for something a little more important to people. No one really respects these people so why would people pretend to be the otehr person?

Even if it is /b/ people don't claim to be certain people unless they get attention for it. Like saying you are a girl or something, but the CP sharing threads aren't really like that. Just the camwhore threads.

well, most of the time stuff isn't up for long enough, then you've got the cost required to have people monitoring a thread for that length of time, seriously go to /b/ page 0 and press refresh the moment you get there, 90% of the time every thread on the first page will be different, it happens that fast, it's too much to mod.
bans are easy to get round via hotspot shield etc, but this also raises a point that in some countries CP is a lower age than america, I know that's how someone got away with posting a bunch of hot 16 year old swedish girls (I can say that, legal age in britain is 16, high five to me, I got to say that the olsen twins were hot when they were actually hot)
plus, most people don't post CP to actually fap to (maybe snacks, but he's on 8chan most of the time now), it's just done for fun to see if you get b&, v& or both.
tbh, I quite enjoy /b/, it makes me laugh a lot.

They leave CP threads up awhile, but Boxxy threads are over with like that.

boxxy threads get reported and saged, the fact that CP stays up longer has more to do with the community than anything else

Leave /b/. Seriously it was the best choice i made on 4chan. Go to other forums to talk to people who arent idiots (other then touhou fags on /j/). There is no porno on other forums unless you go to the ones specially made just for porno.

I don't really browse /b/. It just really annoys me if I ever go these and I see how poorly run it is.

i hate the fact that 4chan has become so mainstream. fuck, even everyone in my high school knew about it.
i think i've been there since 2005, but i mainly lurk & not post shit, like most forum-ish sites i visit.

I still don't understand what's so bad about posting a thread about boxxy.
I mean sure she's really annoying but is it because they're posted too often?
