Please help me play GMS!

I live in south korea and want to play GMS. I have a account but am ip banned bcuz i live in korea. Can anyone help? sorry for the inconvience

but I see no logical reason you would want to play GMS, aside from maybe jipang, which isn't all that.

Nexon has an IP filter that filters out your IP adress so you are unable to play, if you launch the client the old fashioned way. However, if you log onto your account on their website, and press "Launch Game", you bypass their IP filter without using any 3rd party programs, which makes it legal for you to play from a foreign country.

wat u mean by old fashioned way? i normally did launch game. I use google chrome btw. when i clicked and a new tab opened and i saw the kms Internet explorer only link in korean. on internet explorer it just normally blocks me by saying You ahve been ip banned. Your lcoation is outside of our customer service area

dude. for the billionth time thats what i did! on internet explorer when i do it it says Your location is out of our country service. Aol 10.0 and hss dont work 4 me. hss is baned

It automatically detects your IP, like I said, use a proxy, the site auto-connects to your countries MS service.

Just press "No", when the yellow pop up comes. Then choose Maplestory North America to the right, and then do as I said. I live in Europe, I can play just fine, without any use of proxy programs.

it's probably something relating to nexon redirecting you to Nexon Korea because they track your IP to it for some random reason.

If you need 'fake' info PM me. I can give you the address of the house I lived in before I moved... And an America name to use. I doubt the current residents of the house play MapleStory...

Edit: FYI, I.Ps are used by countries like a modern-ish social secruty #. The government has records of IPs and with a simple IP can track a computer or server to its current location, this also counts for other electronics too. You can get IPs from hacking a person's internet connection which should obviously contain the data on the computer itself. With that you can re-register that IP to a 'blank' laptop to get automatic connection to America-only websites! It's actually illegal and... well... I'll give an example: An America hacks an IP from singapore, the FBI notices his activity and traces him to an area outside the U.S. The FBI arrests the kid and files him under 'alien' due to the fact that since he used someone else's IP they'd have to trace more than double the information and it could take years to get his identity, which won't work if the person is like 90 or has cancer... Basically once in alien status they placed in the country they stole the IP from, if in America: the state; and his life basically starts over.
I learned this from my sister when I tried faking my SS# to access MapleSEA.

1: Go to google.com.
2: Serach " Download Internet Explorer " (should be first result)
3: Click " DOWNLOAD " (Important step so do not skip this one :ahh: )
4: Your done have fun the refer to the other guide posted on how to play :D

i have internet explroer when i use it, it ip bans meh.

@imitazion: Firefox did not work. it had the same effect has google chrome. Maybe europe is just special?
i pressed start game, then continue then it opened a new tab to kms page

I can choose a world and stuff but when i start to create a character , im just about to choose the job before hand and the little confirmation box comes up saying are you sure you want this job blah blah i select the yes option and it automatically freezes ~_~ and it keeps doing it. anybody know why lol?:emo:

because your kms files are in the nexon folder as opposed to the gms files.

If you can't download the client through the NA Nexon site, then try downloading GMS from another source. You can download v86 and the v87 manual patch http://download.mmosite.com/download.php?id=2565.

Then try logging in. If not, then download the trial version of the "HideMyIP" program and see if that works.:thumbsup:
